Network Security Specialist

As a Senior Network Security Specialist – Cybersecurity, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution committed to protecting its brand, shareholder value, and assets. Your role focuses on integrating and maintaining advanced security measures across the network infrastructure, contributing directly to the firm’s cybersecurity resilience and innovation. Your main responsibilities: • Assist in reviewing security documentation to detect and address potential control gaps. • Support the development and execution of remediation strategies for security deficiencies. • Provide technical guidance on network solutions, cryptography, and data security to various projects and business units. • Collaborate with the first line of defense to monitor IT security risks and control effectiveness. • Engage with regional and global cybersecurity stakeholders to resolve security concerns. • Keep abreast of relevant frameworks, standards, and cybersecurity best practices. • Contribute to special projects and perform assigned duties to strengthen security posture. • Seek mentorship from senior staff to enhance professional growth in cybersecurity. You're ideal for this role if you have: • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT, preferably within a financial or regulated environment. • Strong understanding of cybersecurity controls and industry trends. • Familiarity with IDS/IPS, firewalls, proxies, and network protocols like TCP, UDP, DNS. • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus. • Ability to generate detailed security reports with findings and recommendations. • Industry certifications like CC, CISSP, CISA, or CISM are advantageous. It is a strong plus if you have: • Certification in cloud security or additional cybersecurity specializations.
