Security Awareness Specialist

🎯 Role Summary
We are seeking a creative and security-minded Security Awareness Specialist to help shape and elevate our organization's cyber safety culture. This hybrid role bridges technical cybersecurity with internal marketing, corporate communications, and instructional design. You will be responsible for designing, producing, and executing captivating educational campaigns—turning complex threat concepts into actionable, easy-to-digest guidance for employees across all business units.
📋 Key Responsibilities
• Campaign & Content Creation: Author and publish engaging digital assets, including interactive e-learning modules, newsletters, video tutorials, and executive presentations.
• Educational Program Delivery: Design and roll out end-to-end security training initiatives aimed at fostering safe digital habits company-wide.
• Technical Translation: Demystify intricate cybersecurity threats, policies, and best practices into clear, business-centric language.
• Platform Management: Curate and maintain the central security awareness knowledge hub on SharePoint and internal distribution channels.
• AI-Powered Innovation: Utilize generative AI and modern content tools to accelerate material creation and keep educational formats fresh and interactive.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with IT Security specialists, business leaders, and third-party vendors to align awareness initiatives with core organizational risks.
• Impact Measurement: Define metrics and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program reach, behavioral change, and overall effectiveness.
⚙️ Qualifications & Experience
Must-Have Requirements:
• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Security Awareness, Internal Communications, Educational Content Design, Marketing, or L&D.
• Cyber Domain Knowledge: Solid grasp of core cybersecurity principles, common threat vectors (e.g., social engineering, phishing), and safe operational habits.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a flair for storytelling and brand building.
• Content Development: Demonstrated capability in building interactive learning materials and digital media using standard content tools.
• Autonomy & Influence: Strong organizational skills with the confidence to collaborate independently and influence stakeholders across various departments.
Nice-to-Have (Preferred):
• Track record of scaling awareness programs within large-scale or global enterprises.
• Industry certifications reflecting a foundational security background (e.g., CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, or similar).
• Familiarity with unique security dynamics across both IT and Industrial Control / Operational Technology (OT) environments.
