Security Engineer Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to lead and contribute to the security of our software solutions. You will be instrumental in managing the quality and performance of our security measures, and applying robust software engineering concepts and processes to develop and maintain secure software solutions. Job Responsibilities - Security code audit and security review of the software application stack - Design, develop, and implement security solutions that protect SUSE's software products and infrastructure from threats. - Conduct thorough quality and performance testing of security features and systems to identify vulnerabilities and ensure optimal functionality. - Apply advanced software engineering concepts and principles to create scalable, maintainable, and secure software. - Establish and enforce robust software engineering processes within the security team, including secure coding guidelines, code reviews, and vulnerability management. - Evaluate and implement various software engineering tools to enhance security development, testing, and deployment workflows. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Stay abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, and proactively incorporate them into our security strategies.
