About the role As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction and architecture of digital products of ERGO Group, with a focus on security and systems in the Operations Division. You will work closely with international architecture, security, and development teams to design highly available, scalable, and secure digital, cloud-based solutions that run in the complex ERGO environment. You will cooperate with a diverse group of internal stakeholders and vendor partners. Ultimately, you will ensure that designed solutions comply with ERGO group governance processes and are aligned with the target architecture landscapes, meeting both business and technology requirements. How you will get the job done • your main responsibility will be working with internal projects in the Operations Division and within the GenAI program - designing, explaining, documenting the architecture solution and security countermeasures • designing distributed systems applications (front and backend) in AWS cloud (mostly) using native cloud/serverless approaches • covering end to end systems laying across mainframe, on-premise, and cloud • documenting in confluence architecture decisions, goals, debts, risks, tech quality requirements, and keeping solution architecture documentation up to date • modelling in UML and ArchiMate diagrams of the solution • researching, evaluating, and driving modern technologies/solutions to solve customer needs • actively contributing to various bottom-up initiatives driven by the delivery team • advising regarding architecture patterns and other reference architecture components • engaging in cross-functional delivery across product, engineering, operations, and vendor teams • supporting development teams by explaining architectural designs and providing reference implementations or technical spikes when needed • driving architectural consistency and integration quality across large-scale digital transformation projects • working in ERGO frameworks for projects and architecture, ensuring all architecture meets regulatory and compliance standards, specifically DORA and VAIT Skills and experience you will need • fluent spoken and written English • rich experience (6+ years) and broad interests in software development, architecture, and enterprise system integration • proven delivery of solutions in large-scale, cross-functional IT projects, ideally in regulated environments (insurance, banking, etc.) • working experience in creating threat models and web applications – Frontend and Backend for Frontend (e.g. React/NodeJS or Java/C#), and experience with Databricks, Unity-Catalog, API-Management, and other more specific BDAP / GenAI technology stack • experience working in Solution/Software Architect roles (formally or informally) • working experience in designing distributed applications on the Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) • knowledge about software and architecture patterns • knowledge of DevOps practices, especially containerization and orchestration (knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus) • solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills, ability to explain architecture to developers and non-technical stakeholders, and preparation to present to review boards on enterprise architecture • comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions in enterprise-scale, matrixed environments Perks & Benefits Let's be healthy Medical package, sports card, and numerous sports sections – these are some of the benefits that help our employees stay in good shape.
