About the Role We’re looking for a Founding Product Designer to shape the visual and product experience of a next-generation consumer product from the ground up. This role goes far beyond creating screens - you’ll define how the product feels, moves, communicates, and connects with users across mobile, web, branding, and physical touchpoints. As the first dedicated designer on the team, you’ll have a major influence on the product direction, design culture, and quality standards. You’ll work closely with engineering and founders to turn ambitious ideas into polished, production-ready experiences. What You’ll Be Doing Product & Experience Design • Own the end-to-end design process for mobile applications and supporting web experiences • Design intuitive user flows, onboarding experiences, and interaction patterns • Create high-quality visual interfaces that balance usability with premium aesthetics • Define motion behavior and micro-interactions that improve clarity and delight Brand & Visual Identity • Help establish and evolve the company’s visual language across product and marketing • Contribute to branding assets including website visuals, launch materials, and packaging concepts • Ensure consistency between digital experiences and physical product presentation Systems & Collaboration • Build and maintain a scalable design system for future product growth • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure implementation quality and design accuracy • Participate in product discovery, lightweight user research, and usability validation • Create clear documentation covering components, accessibility, usage rules, and content guidelines What We’re Looking For Required Experience • 4+ years of experience in product design, visual design, or brand design • Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped consumer-facing digital products • Advanced Figma skills including auto-layout, variants, prototyping, and design systems • Experience designing motion and interaction behaviors using tools such as After Effects, Rive, Principle, or Lottie • Solid understanding of accessibility standards and design-to-development workflows Bonus Points • Experience designing for hardware-related products or physical experiences • Packaging or unboxing design experience • Content design or UX writing skills • Data-informed product iteration and experimentation mindset Ways of Working • Weekly design reviews and close collaboration with engineering teams • Figma as the primary source of truth for product specifications • Structured handoff processes including reusable tokens and component documentation • Design QA integrated into development workflows where applicable
