Role: Linux Engineer As a Linux Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting, optimizing, and securing Cantor Fitzgerald’s mission‑critical Linux infrastructure. This position requires strong technical expertise, hands‑on experience with enterprise Linux environments, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced global organization. You will support day‑to‑day operations, contribute to engineering initiatives, and ensure the availability and performance of our systems across data centers, virtualized platforms, and hybrid cloud environments. Wymagania: Ideal Candidate Profile Skills: Strong understanding of Linux internals, filesystems, kernel parameters, and performance tuning. Proficiency with common Linux services and tools (systemd, SSH, NFS, LDAP, DNS, cron). Strong scripting and automation capabilities (Bash, Python, Ansible). Experience with monitoring and logging platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk). Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalling). Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows (preferred). Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus. Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience as a Linux Administrator/Engineer in production environments. Professional certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or LPIC are strongly preferred. Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift). Understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, iSCSI) and major filesystems (XFS, EXT4, ZFS). Familiarity with ITIL‑based service management processes. Experience: Proven experience maintaining large‑scale Linux environments in high‑availability, performance‑critical settings. Exposure to multi‑team, multi‑vendor infrastructure environments. Prior experience supporting hybrid or distributed enterprise architectures. Work Arrangement This is a hybrid role based in Warsaw, with three days per week in the office. For candidates located outside Warsaw, we are open to remote contract arrangements. The role is offered primarily as a permanent contract (Umowa o Pracę – UoP). B2B contracts are also available. Salary range: 20,000 PLN – 30,000 PLN (depending on experience and contract type).
