IT Systems Administrator / Application Support Specialist (Mid) 

About the Role 

We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator / Application Support Specialist to join our Security Operations Team (SOT). 
You will support employees and business operations by maintaining internal systems, resolving technical issues, supporting production applications, and helping ensure the security, reliability, and compliance of our technology environment. 
This role combines application support, systems administration, security awareness, and operational IT responsibilities. You'll work closely with Service Desk, Security, and Engineering teams while supporting employees across multiple locations. 
Responsibilities 

Application & Platform Support 
• Provide 2nd line support for business-critical applications and production services 
• Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions 
• Support application deployments, configuration changes, and maintenance activities 
• Work with vendors, developers, and technical owners when escalations are required 
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures 
IT Operations 
• Support daily IT operations and service delivery 
• Assist Service Desk with complex requests and incident resolution 
• Participate in onboarding, transfer, and offboarding processes 
• Maintain hardware, software, and asset inventories 
• Perform routine administration, maintenance, and monitoring activities 
Microsoft & Cloud Administration 
• Administer and support the Microsoft ecosystem, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, and Purview 
• Manage identities, devices, licenses, access, and collaboration services 
• Support endpoint management and compliance processes 
Security & Compliance 
• Promote security best practices and support security awareness initiatives 
• Assist with security monitoring, alert review, and incident handling 
• Ensure systems and services remain aligned with internal security standards 
• Participate in vulnerability remediation and operational security activities 
• Help maintain secure access controls and user permissions 
Requirements 
Must Have 
• 2+ years of experience in IT administration, application support, or systems support 
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills 
• Experience supporting business applications and end users 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies 
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and security best practices 
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously 
• Good written and spoken English 
Nice to Have 
• Experience with SaaS administration 
• Exposure to endpoint management platforms 
• PowerShell or other scripting experience 
• Understanding of identity and access management concepts 
• Microsoft certifications (MS-900, SC-900, AZ-900, MS-102, MD-102)
