The role involves close interaction with trading and business users, managing their requests, ensuring timely incident resolution, and providing deep functional and technical expertise. We are seeking a Fixed Income & Rates Technology Specialist with skills spanning Production Support, QA Testing, and L2 Engineering. The role supports mission‑critical platforms including: • Fixed Income Trading Systems: Swaps, Bonds (Credit and Govies), Inflation-linked. • Portfolio Management Platforms (risk & pricing) • QA testing The main responsibility is to provide production support during LATAM trading hours. The successful candidates are expected to help with QA testing and L2 Engineering when not engaged with production support tasks. Main Responsibilities 1. Production Support • Support Fixed Income products: Bonds (Credit/Govies), Inflation-linked instruments, and Swaps. • Provide both functional and technical guidance to trading and business users, including incident ownership and resolution. • Participate in problem management to address recurring issues and drive long-term fixes. • Document incidents, requests, and solutions to enhance the knowledge database. 2. QA Testing & L2 Engineering • Perform functional, non-functional, and regression testing for Fixed Income trading platforms. Execute E2E, and integration tests. • Manage test cases and defects. • Identify, document, and track defects in Jira while collaborating with developers for resolution. • Assist throughout the application lifecycle, including project delivery and testing. • Depending on the candidate’s background: Implement minor enhancements and bug fixes. Develop monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify system issues. Key Requirements 1. Front Office Problem-Solving & Trader Support: • Rapid incident triage and business impact assessment during live trading • Root cause analysis across trade lifecycles (capture → booking → settlement) • Clear communication with traders under pressure; translating technical issues to business terms • Developing workarounds to maintain trading operations while issues are resolved 2. Financial Markets Domain Knowledge: • Bonds, Swaps, Futures, Credit, Govies, Inflation-linked instruments • eTrading and OTC workflows • Market data feeds • Pricing & risk analytics (PnL, sensitivities) 3. Testing & Validation: • Pre-market system and market data feed validation • Trade testing across Fixed Income products with P&L and risk sensitivity validation • Regression testing and UAT coordination with trading desks • Test case design based on real trading scenarios and edge cases The ideal candidate would also have knowledge in some of the following areas: 1. Incident & Test Management Tools: • Jira (ticket management, workflow tracking) • Xray or similar test management tools (basic test case execution) 2. Technical Skills (familiarity with one or more): • Scripting: Basic SQL queries, simple Bash or PowerShell scripts for log analysis • Programming: Exposure to Python, Java, or JavaScript (able to read code and understand stack traces) • Log Analysis: Ability to parse application logs and identify error patterns. (Kibana or similar) 3. Infrastructure & Platform Awareness: • Basic understanding of cloud concepts (AWS services like Lambda, S3, EFS) • Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs • Understanding of message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, MQ, SNS/SQS) • Database basics: ability to query relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DocumentDB) 4. Desirable but Not Required: • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, CloudWatch, Grafana, Dynatrace) • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines • Exposure to caching technologies (Redis, Memcached)
