Role Title: Senior Network Operations Engineer Job Description – Key Responsibilities • Lead the resolution of complex customer cases involving satellite ground network performance, routing anomalies, or connectivity degradation • Provide in-depth technical guidance to customers and internal teams during high-severity incidents, partnering with SDN, RF, and operations teams • Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for customer-impacting events • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for escalated networking issues including:• BGP peering • DNS failures • Throughput bottlenecks • Path optimization • Proactively identify support gaps and contribute to tooling, diagnostics, and automation • Develop troubleshooting playbooks, technical guides, and knowledge base articles • Work in rotating shift schedule (weekdays + weekends) with on-call coverage Technical Expertise – Must Demonstrate SME-Level Proficiency in ONE Domain 🛰️ Satellite / RF Domain • Hands-on experience with RF fundamentals including carrier operations, link budgets, and satellite ground equipment • Understanding of antenna specifications (gain, beamwidth, polarization, radiation patterns) • Hands-on antenna installation, maintenance, troubleshooting • Experience with satellite communications systems and LEO/GEO architecture OR 🌐 Network / ISP Domain • Deep expertise in network troubleshooting including: • Internet connectivity issues • Routing behavior analysis • DNS resolution failures • Performance bottlenecks • Strong hands-on experience with:  • BGP • OSPF • Multi-provider routing • Experience with network diagnostic tools (looking glass, path analysis) • AWS networking services: • Transit Gateway • Direct Connect • Cloud connectivity architectures • Ability to diagnose regional infrastructure problems (fiber cuts, routing changes, latency degradation) Core Requirements (All Candidates)  • 5+ years of experience in technical support or operations roles with focus on system troubleshooting and direct customer engagement  • Multilingual Support: Providing technical support in English (B2) and/or French/Spanish/German language. • Strong track record of analyzing complex technical issues and managing customer escalations through resolution • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to enterprise customer engineering teams • Experience documenting technical solutions, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides • Strong background in NOC operations with experience in emergency response and on-call support scenarios Preferred Qualifications • CCNA / CCNP certifications • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate • Cross-domain knowledge (Satellite + Network) • Automation & scripting (Python, Bash) • Regulatory knowledge (FCC, ITU) • Experience in 24x7 enterprise operations • Knowledge base / runbook creation experience • ISP peering operations familiarity
